Our Vegan Collection

Global movements such as the Fashion Revolution and Veganism are instilling a social conscience in the way we consume and the way things are produced. There is a shift in focus to ethical and sustainable production in every way!

The Pesso factory is based in Portugal and with Portugal’s cork forests producing about half the of the world’s output of commercial cork, it made sense to offer cork leather, (made from the bark of a cork oak tree) as an innovative alternative to leather.

The qualities we love about leather... breathability, durability, fit and comfort are all features of cork too and therefore the perfect sustainable and eco-friendly option that will maintain Pesso’s premium quality and luxurious feel.

In order to validate this project we thought we needed the opinion of an expert! Keri Bainborough has been a passionate Vegan for 4 years and we gifted her a pair of the slip-on sneakers. Listen to a podcast here where she talks about how much she loves them Veganism is not about Perfectionism
